Wenebegon River (Hwy 129 / Algoma)
We stayed in beautiful Algoma district off Hwy 129 for a week in Sept 2026. The wind mostly kept us off the water, but we still found time for some fishing, paddling, and campfires!

Aubrey Falls
Aubrey Falls is a non-operational provincial park with a hiking trail that leads to a waterfall and is located 85km north of Thessalon on Hwy 129.

Beckerton Shooting Range Rd. (Spanish)
This huge meadow made for a pleasant, albeit slight boring stop along the way between Sudbury and Thessalon.

Burwash
This is our second stay in the former town of Burwash, a former prison community just 50km south of Sudbury. This year we stayed there August 19-30, 2026.
